Eloise Falkiner Ossicle bangle resting on coral

Jewellery Collections Inspired by the Sea

Eloise's three jewellery collections explore different aspects of the marine world, each with its own story.

Naiads takes its name from the water nymphs of Greek mythology. Inspired by the life and movement found in shallow waters, it draws on sea snakes, flatworms, sponges and rockpools. The Laticauda Snake Bangle follows the flowing movement of a sea snake, while the Aplysina Pearl Ring takes its form from an unusual marine sponge.

Thetis looks to Greek mythology and the sea nymph who was mother to Achilles. From the gemstone-set Thetis Ring to the cascading forms of the Tears of Thetis jewellery, the collection explores this mythological connection to the sea.

Ossicle finds inspiration in what the tide leaves behind. Named after the tiny skeletal structures found in creatures such as sea urchins and starfish, the collection brings together beaten metal surfaces, pearls and sculptural forms. The Ossicle Charm Necklace and Beaten Hoops are among its distinctive pieces.

Forms and Textures Shaped by the Sea

Beyond these stories, recurring textures and forms connect Eloise's designs to the ocean.

Seafoam evokes objects submerged beneath the water, gradually covered by coral and marine growth. The Oyster Seafoam Ring and Seafoam Bracelet carry this irregular, textured character.

Rockpool draws on the small worlds held between rocks at low tide. In the Rockpool Ring, textured metal represents rocks, coral and bubbles, while Australian sapphires suggest pools of water.

Beaten takes its cue from sea-worn cliffs, bringing irregular, light-catching surfaces to the metal across several of Eloise's collections. Explore Beaten and the other textures.

Together, these details reflect Eloise's interest in the less obvious forms of marine life, translating her observations into jewellery with its own character.
